turn the radio off. check all the fuses under the hood again. also, removethe small plastic panel on the passenger side of the center console where it meets at the bottom of the waterfall dash. It pops off, and there are several fuses/relays there.

here's a pic of where that is:

turn the car back ON, and check again.

I had this happen one day while getting gas...I got back in the car(2006 HHR with 35k miles, at the time) and had no "sounds", which are controlled by the BCM.

I came home, did a search, found the "loose fuse" thread, checked all mine, and found many loose ones.

I started the car, and viola...all sounds were back.

One member here claimed it only had to be reset, that there were no documented "loose fuse" cases...

I politely disagreed...I had no sounds, and loose fuses. I lightly pressed all the fuses back in, and I had sound again.

zero documented cases?...make that 1 documented case.

Hope the same works for you.

Not really, I politely disagreed...IMHO there are two occurrences where pushing on some fuses and shutting off and restarting a vehicle and one hundred other variables have resulted in a problem going away.

possibly. But the author shut off, and re-started the car more than once....yet adressing the fuses is what seemed to cure it. At least that's how I understand it.

bottom line is this-the car is fixed, and we were a part of that.
