Where is Splice J323?
Where is Splice J323?
The factory Service Manual gives some incoherent directions like “In the body harness main bundle approximately 65 cm (25.5 in) rear of the first breakout”. The manual gives no picture or diagram like it does for most of the other components.
What is J323? It is a splice where the power branches off to each of the power windows controls. At least that is what the manual seems to say.

The Connectors which split the power are noted below. Use the Diagrams below to see where they are located:

Thanks for the PM, but it seems like you posted all the pertinent info here so I will continue.
I have the Factory Service Manual(FSM) and it seems to differ somewhat from the AllData info shown above. The AllData seems to denote splices with an “S”; the FSM uses “J”, I presume for junction.
Now, I have a 2009 LS with the Master window controls on the driver’s door. I “believe” the AllData info shown above is an older model with the master controls on the console – I make this assumption because the schematic does not show a separate front passenger window control. From what I can see there is quite a bit of differences between it and my 2009 in circuitry. It seems in my 2009 there is actually some logic in the physical door switches AND each door is supplied directly with 12VDC from the fuse box to power this “logic” and the window motor.
The original question is asking the whereabouts of that splice where the 12VDC breaks off and individually heads for each door(not shown on the AllData). My “belief” is it is buried within the black tape wrapped main harness that comes through the firewall. My FSM says the main wire is a 3MM dark green and at the splice(J323) breaks off with four 2MM dark green wires heading for each door.
I wish I had purchased that $400.00 CD of the FSM, instead of the $150.00 paper copy and I would be able to share it’s info more easily. However, I don't know if the CD FSM has more complete info!

I guess somewhere I missed you are posting about windows. PM your email and I can send you the front power window schematics. Basically it's the green wire coming off of fuse 36 in the underhood fuse box. Follow the green and you will find your J323 junction.
Yup, it is the dark green 3MM wire leaving the Under hood fuse box. J323 is the splice that breaks it out to four 2MM dark green wires that feed each of the four doors.
I have the schematics; what I need is a better description than:
"In the body harness main bundle approximately 65 cm (25.5 in) rear of the first breakout”. This is what the manual has to say about the location.
I could go hunting around for it, but would have a completely butchered harness with open wires spread everywhere. Yuk.
So what is GM calling a "breakout" and where is that first one?
