A few of the dealers in town offers free car washes for life so that is a strong selling point. I will pay a little more at those dealers but would be worth it in the long run. I plan on keeping the HHR for 8-10 years so that is a lot of washes.

The mud flap idea sounds nice I didn't think about that. But I have seen some after mark ones that where cheap.
I had one car, bought new and treated with Ziebart. The goop plugged up the panel's drain holes and water collected in door, rear quarter panels, spared tire well etc. Very inefective rust preventative. Of course doing this on a new 72 Vega GT wagon didn't help as the car was made from compressed rut from the beginning.

The car had severe corrosion issues and was traded in after 3 1/2 years after a GM replaced to oil burner engine.

@07azhhr, according to the information that is available to me for the 2007 HHR, the Corrosion/Rust Through warranty is 6 years or 100,000 miles whichever comes first.

If you would like to provide me with your VIN, I would be happy to research the warranty information for your vehicle.

So if I buy a 08-09 model with less than 100,000 miles I can get the rust fixed. That rocks, I would have to say Congrats Chevrolet that is a awesome selling point. Is that standard or bought extra?

Read that as a "Rust THROUGH" warranty........ bubbles on the inside of the door panels may not be covered.
