Will changing the grade of gas cause a CEL
FYI. That spring is available by itself. (although at one time it was on back order or unavailable). Not that costly.
There are some older threads regarding the part and I think the part #. Try searching for it on this site.
As far as the area you say is worn, not sure how to deal with that.
Edit. Try this thread: https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/ss-s...ing-kit-53899/

Thanks, yup that link had awesome information, JBWeld to help fill that part. I was wrong though, it wasnt a hole, its like a "hook" that is worn, and the JBweld took care of it for this guy. Ill have to buy some of that stuff, it sounds amazing. Of course, i also got the part number for the spring, and will search around for it. Thanks again firemangeorge.
If you go to an online parts site and look up spark plugs, there will be multiple brand listings. Rockauto shows 18 different spark plugs for a 2009 HHR SS.
BUT, we have all learned that the AC Delco brand is the only one the SS owners should use.
My guess is most shops will install one of the cheaper plugs unless you specify the AC Delco plugs.

Check out this thread. https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/ss-s...-shifts-14468/
Fix the clutch pedal arm, and install the new spring kit. If the car still revs up between shifts, there are some ideas in that thread that may help. So far, I think I'm the only one who had the problem, and now do not.

Well, you are not alone anymore...
Ill do some searching for the part number, and see if i can get it ordered. I'm mechanically minded, so i think ill be able to swap it out on my own. But working in a school in Fl, and this fricken coro - virus, who knows when ill get the time.... all this fricken panic over it, is whats causing the problem, damn 24 hour news cycle that people seem addicted to. the regular flu killed 76,000 people last year, i dont think this new virus has killed even 5,000 yet. I know its serious, and we all have to be careful and keep our self and loved ones safe,; but this panic isnt helping. Thanks for your help here with this car issue. DeVoiD.

Thanks much, ill check the invoice and see if i can get them swapped out as time permits, although this corono-virus crap is causing a lot of problems... i work in a school.... more panic that action or level headed-ness. DeVoiD

And 13 and 18 are the sensors, 1 on each pedal, same part number. You'll have to scroll down a bit further, they are listed as no longer available, but the part number is there, for you to Google.
Donbrew has noted that the manual calls for the new sensor to be relearned by a scan tool. I did not need to do that. Perhaps because I didn't install a new sensor, I just swapped the 2 sensors. Perhaps because the vehicle's computer already knew these parts...
But again, change out the spring kit first, see what happens. K01 spring kit includes #9, 10, and 20

Thanks so much for your statement, "But again, change out the spring kit first, see what happens. K01 spring kit includes #9, 10, and 20", because i was trying to find 9, 10 and 20 and didnt see it on that page! so, you saying that K01 is all of that, life saver! thanks mate. Weird how on that page, it says "transmission type: Automatic" and yet the title is manual 5 speed! that website is a bit jacked up!
Ill go ahead and google the part number (25867553), and i assume i dont need K01 anywhere in my search. Although when i scroll down to K01, i dont see any "unavailable", just the + for quantity and the shopping cart. Ill add it to the cart and see what it does, just for the fun of it! AH I read it... you meant the sensors.... sorry, im not reading very well today.... LOL... ill order the K01 now. thanks so much, you are awesome!
Thanks again, DeVoiD.
