probly realy slow. ITs a FWD 4cyl SUV. i would guess high17s or maybe even 18s with the 2.4. my dads stock '02 camaro automatic ran 13.2 with the lowest octane gas and he was takin it easy and i think he was even in overdrive.

Kar Krazie why don't you make the trip over the hill to LACR and find out. Just let me know what day and I'll show up to say hi.

It can't really be that slow can it?
I come from the Saturn community so I forget that the rest of GM is metal.

So maybe you're right, but I'd figure at least somewhere in the 16's.

How much does the HHR weigh?

My 99 SC1 (SOHC, 100hp) is rated around 17 or 18 seconds. It weighs somewhere around 2400 lbs. The DOHC version is rated at 124hp and is in the 16's.

So for that much power I would think it would be a little bit quicker, unless it weighs about 1000lbs more.

ummmm 4 tons is 8,000 lbs. There is no way 143 hp would work. An excursion weighs over 9,000lbs (didn't know that). And its about 3 hhrs so whoever told u this had a a beetle layin eggs in their brain.
FYI I believe the hhr weighs 3155lbs.

well that article said 16.9 at 83, an acceleration calculator i did said 17.9 at 83 for the 2.2L and for the 2.4L it says 16.8 at 88.75mph...so maybe you guys are guessing pretty close. I suppose the extra 750 lbs makes a big difference.
