Cordova, IL Vicary Day

I took My Black 5 speed HHR SS to the 12th Annual Vicary day at Cordova Raceway park last Sunday and was pleasantly surprised when I ran a 14.658 @ 97.46 MPH with my stock SS. It took some playing with the launch but after deciding not to use the launch control and instead "use the force" by launching it by feel I came up with the surprising time. Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts.

How many passes did you run before you got the 14.658?

Nice time. What was your 1/8, I'd like to know where I might be in the 1/4 compared to my 1/8 times.

I would post my time slip but we are locked out of any media sites here at work. I made about 5 passes before I ran the 14.6. It is a 5-speed. My 1/8 mile was 9.63@76.65mph. Overall I was pretty happy with the times. This winter I am going to work on exhaust, a tune, and possibly some steelies and sticky tires. Hoping to go sub 14 at the first of next racing season.

nice time, yea i think we all going to do some mods over winter. I'm still waiting on that GM stage 1 update first.
