Going to the track tonight, I have a question???

I've had a handfull of fast FWD's in the past and I was able to get very good at the start with them. My question is how do you guys run your cars? TC off, TC on, competition mode(launch control whatever), ESC off????? When I rip around on the street I usually have the ESC off unless I don't remember/feel like turning it off and then I'll just run around with everything on. I planned on turning everything off tonight and just try to manage the spin by feel but I just wanted to see what everyone else does. Oh and does anyone wanna play guess the time??? My car's an 09 SS auto with HPTuners done by BYT with trans adjustments, Dejon catless DP, Magnaflow exhaust, Dejon I/C piping, and K&N kit. I'll post some times tomorrow and thanks for any info.

I tried just that last weekend at Englishtown in Jersey. It was the 1st time taking my SS to this track, so I ran it with stock tires. With ESC and T/C off I spun heavily in 1st and 2nd gears (I have an auto like yours and footbraked off the line, I'm still experimenting w/ launch styles) and ran a horrid time at 96.48mph. Granted the car was hot and my intake temp was at 120*... My 2nd run I left it in Comp. Mode and dropped a full second off my times still spinning heavily in 1st and modulating the throttle to try to control the wheelspin. I ran a 15.30 at 98.xx mph on that run. If I were able to control the tirespin I would have run mid 14's. I'd assume you'll be running mid/lo 14's with a decent launch and good track prep. Good luck!

I have a 5spd and run at the track in comp-mode for the no lift shift feature. My best time is in my sig and was done when I only had my stage 1 on stock tires.

My guess for you is 14.00 at 100mph. Good luck and keep us posted with times and slips.

Pretty good guess. I ended up finding out the best combination for me was to run in competition mode while footbraking at the line. My first run was pretty much straight off the highway so the car was hot and ran a 14.21, then a 14.11, then a 14.03. After sitting in line for a bit and cooling off I pulled a 13.92. Then after a car broke and I got to sit for a good while, I finally ended up running a 13.89@101.16. Not bad for the little grocery getter. I still had the car seat in the back and all...lol. Anyway, here's the numbers:
60' 2.27 (sucks)
330 6.011
1/8 9.054
MPH 81.50
1000 11.664
1/4 13.890
MPH 101.16
