HHR meet and greet. Let's go racing!
Hey gang, I've recently been doing some work on a members SS. We have been testing at Quaker State Motorsports Park in Salem, OH. The wife's car is finally ready for the track (after 2 long years) and I wanted to see if anyone was interested in doing a meet and greet race night. Of course racing is optional, my mom will be there with the 07 HHR I built for her. Trying to convince her to race!
Tentatively scheduled for Wednesday night September 14th. So far I have 3 SS's coming to the party. The more the merrier, obviously. Pricing is $25 to race and $10/person for spectators. Wednesday nights are test and tune with an optional gambler's race for an extra 5 bucks. I will link the tracks website below for any help with directions.

Looking forward to it. Hope to see you there.

Hey we like long stories! Jump back over to your thread and let me know what we're dealing with. Steve (the member I'm fixing up) was running a consistent 14.8. My butt dyno says high 13's on radials and low low 13s on some sticky tires.
So much so that he claims I gave him a new car. Not only that, he went from 27mpg hwy to 36mpg. Not too shabby. Only problem is he's probably faster than the wife at this point. That little k04 turbo spools really fast compared to the wife's 256ET. She's not talking to me if he's faster on race night!

We had a great time. Another SS even showed unannounced, he was unaware of the forum. Should have a new SS member soon.
Everyone can post their own times but our best was 13.82/102mph. That was with the wife and I in it. Still have the boost turned all the way down to around 20-22lbs. Not bad for our first outing.
We'll be meeting again, so I'll keep this thread updated.
Hope to see you next time! Quaker City was a really accommodating track. We didn't make any formal plans with them but they let us have our own Test & Tune lanes. Can't say enough about the fun we had.
