HHR SS.....Lets get to the track!!!!!
I run our shop drag car (600+HP set up for drags on slicks) and the best short times have been 1.7 there is no way in hell you are going to do that in our fat tanks I dont care what you say....then to top that I am looking at my time slip from last year and I had similar 1/8 times then your times just get completely unreal...sorry just calling what I see....I think 1.9's will be the best 60's you see from our HHR
60ft has alot to do with ET. No offense but if your shop drag car is only pulling 1.7 60fts you have issues somewhere. Unless its a FWD car which I have no clue about. I pull 1.3X 60fts with a stock suspension on a 28x10.5 tire. Rule of thumb each .1 off of the 60ft is equal to roughly .2 out the back in the 1/4. His times and MPH are consistant with his 60ft, however I do agree doing it on street tires makes it questionable. MPH/HP has alot to do with dropping ET when you have wheel spin (bad 60ft). Thats why you may see a car running higher ET's with high mph. The exact oposite is the same when you have a car that hooks really well. Two cars can run similar mph but if one pulls a 1.7 vs 2.0 60ft its gonna run a much lower ET.
That being said. You can have all the power in the world but if you cant put it into the ground it useless.

PS: A 60ft may be off if you trip the 60ft beams with the rear tires.
I am in the far lane. This was the Cheap Street finals from the Clash of The titans World Finals 2008 in Houston. 60ft was only a 1.51.

I ran my HHR for the first time friday night. I am 100% bone stock except 5 minutes of tinkering with HP tuners. I spiked around 23psi@3k and held 19.5. I have alot more tuning to do and I need to scan my time slips. My first and fastest run was a 14.168@102.05 with a 2.486 60'. I bogged it down to ~2000rpm on the launch, using launch control and NLS. After that it took a second to build boost. 2nd and 3rd runs had a better 60 even though I still bogged a little bit, but had troubles NLS into 2nd. Ran a 15.1@102.03 and 14.6@102.04 respectively. That was somewhat hot lapping at the strip. My IATs were crazy high, ran 3 times in 1hr 6min. I was stoked after the first run but disappointed on the next 2. I wish I could've gotten that 60' down on my first run to break into the 13s. There was a Caliber SRT-4 that runs consistent 14.0s stock with a horrible sounding exhaust. Not too bad considering a friend of mine has a cobalt ss with hard piping and a catless DP and he ran a 14.1 best in better weather.
Anyone know where I can go in Central to Southern California and make a few passes without waiting in line for hours. Last time I was at a drag strip was in 1976 (yeah, I am old) been playing with the Aeroforce (on a private road) and running some pretty good times even with an easy launch and slow shifts (best was 13.3 and 105 mph). Like to confirm that with a time slip (Hahn/PPC, Hahn Downpipe and Catback, Hahn InterCooler and Charge Pipes, K&N intake, rear seat and spare tire removed, 1/4 tank fuel, 93 octane, cold foggy morning). I don't want to abuse my trans or clutch, but in comp mode, with slicks, I am thinking we should be close to the magic 12 second range.
