Hey All! Another fantastic night of racing! I was having a great time, but my times were a little erratic. from. 9.0-9.3. all night.

One race in particular though made my night! All night long me and this mustang kept trying to get lined up together to race. Ryan(a new friend!) was running a 2011 Mustang GT that was slightly built above stock. All night long we were running pretty close times to each other. It wasn't until around 10pm last night that we finally were able to line 'em up against each other.

Excitement was electric! SO we line 'em up, and the entire time the announcer, is telling everyone that this should be one of the best races of the evening, both cars are pretty evenly matched, and this race is gonnna be won or lost at the line. I have about 70 or so passes under my belt, (I am beginning to really understand how much pedal I can give before breaking the tires loose.) and I was feeling pretty confident.
He staged up first and I power braked into the second light, not ever reving under 3K. The announcer was dead on in his assesment(look at timeslip) and the race was done at the launch. The mustang by all rights should have had me, he had a better '60, a better mid-track, and a better eta. This race was won hands down by reaction time...... 2/100ths of a second! I beat him by half a car length, even though he had a slightly better time. he ran an 9.35, while I ran a 9.38.... I wish all the races were like that! Huge adreneline rush, and I made a great new friend, even if he is driving a Mustang...

Best part though, is how many people scrath their heads when they see a 4dr, 4-banger station wagon hanging with the V-8's

Here is the slip vs. the Mustang, Next time I think I'll eat a valiumn.(when I race the clock, I do better. The excitement of racing against someone always costs me a couple 1/10th's)

I agree with sombershark great runs as always foolmoon but
The mustang gts times Put it at around a 14.55 @ 99 in the quarter
Stock it should have been in the 13's at least in tne
I believe the v6 2011 mustang's are even capable of going into the 13's?
Sounds like the mods on the mustang worked against him
Once again great runs foolmoon

We will see what my car with GMTU and Downpipe run tomorrow at CED. It's a 5 speed with LSD. Hoping to break into the 13's.

Shoogis Good Luck Tonight! 13's are obtainable!

I got bored today, and made myself a little off-road dump pipe for my HAHN Exhaust. I love HAHN's modular design. It took all of 10 minutes to drop the exhaust after the resonator, and add the dump pipe.

The dump pipe cost a whopping $7.00 and a can of high heat paint $5.00. Pissing off everybody not wearing earplugs..... PRICELESS!

I definately don't want this for everyday driving, but for track nights.... I am obnoxious and loud.... I love it..

Hey Rob, your not the only one shooting flames anymore

I don't know if this will yeild any performance gains... most likely not, but we will see. I will say this, you can't hear the turbo with this thing on. I'll let everyone know how it goes tonight.

What wheels are those? I really like them. I want to do drag radials on mine

Hey Rob, mine is dumping on the drivers side, right after a four foot long resonator. Its loud.a couple of guys last night were running the 555's... Horrible 60' with those tires. IMO not soft enough. You should be able to cut a strip tire with your fingernail. I wish I still owned a set of Dunlops. But 1600 for a set of tires is not where I'm at anymore. I maybe got 2k off those tires. They would get gooey sitting in the sun. So nittos are out for me. Lets face it, no one is gonna break the 2.0 mark with anything short of slicks, and even then I don't think anything under 1.8 is possible, but I could be wrong.
