Top Speeds

They passed a bunch of crappy new speeding fines in this Province. 40km/h (or 25 mi/hr) over the speed limit and they impound your frickin car for a week plus a hefty fine!! Although, I haven't received a speeding ticket in my home province for 15 years, it isn't for a lack of driving fast... just fast AND smart! But now no one can afford to get caught! It's going to lead to more people driving without licences and insurance when they can't afford to pay a simple traffic fine. It's ridiculous!
Makes me want to move to the Isle of Man!!

Unlike the UK there is no national speed limit. There are speed restrictions in built up areas, but after passing a 'National Speed Limit' sign there ceases to be any speed restriction, although people driving in a reckless manner may well be stopped by the police.

With my luck, I would get busted!!

Are you in the area with like the $10,000 fine for speeding? My father told me something about Canada and some crazy fine for speeding.

+ lose your licence for a long time. And once you're allowed to resume driving, then your vehicle registration fee cost X 4, and your drivers licence cost X 4, and your car insurance cost rises x 3.

That's why I try to avoid
(whenever possible
)
Ontario has what have been called "Street racing laws"
One of the fun parts of it involve the roadside impounding of your vehicle for going 50 kph over the posted speed limit.
If my gps is to be believed I could be in a little trouble!!! Check out the max speed.
