the fastest I've ever had the Auto SS is 125, had plenty left in it.

The final drive in the Auto SS is 3.29 to 1. the LS and LT is 3.91 to 1. that is why you are seeing such a radical drop of 500 rpm @ 60mph

I happened to be driving out to the "boondocks" and found a nice stretch of flat empty highway. That will probably be the one and only time I drive that fast. I can't even imagine getting a ticket for 85 mph over the limit

 

Not only a ticket, but you would most likely get a free ride to the jail!

 

That's why I said I have no place to test this... Ohio highway patrol are not friendly and would just as soon take my license as look at me...

 

While on a return trip from college, my crazy wife and 18 year old daughter were messing with a guy with a new Dodge Challenger who was showing off (I wasn't there). They said that they came up to over 100mph and kept up with him on a lonely stretch of interstate. When they told me the story, I checked the GPS log and it had shown the max speed at 128mph. My wife said she had slowed down before hitting top speed due to "chickenitous", so more was left; she just backed off.

I know the auto will top 140 easily.
