Right Tweeter Problem

Tried searching the forums and have seen similar, but not quite the same problem. The right tweeter on my 2010 only partially works. Low volume and tinny sound like a blown speaker. Swapped with new factory replacement speaker and it does the same thing. Swapped it with the left tweeter (which works fine) and it does the same thing. Would this be a wiring issue or a head unit (standard factory unit) issue?

The tweeter are wired directly to the door speaker. So if the door speaker is working it is a wire between them.

Unless you are calling the door speaker a tweeter. The tweeters are on the windshield trim.

I think the crossover network is built in to either the speakers or the head unit. The diagrams don't show it at all.

Thanks for that info. That info of the the tweeter being directly tied to the door speaker led me in the right direction. I took out the door speaker and found the problem. A while back, I had to have the passenger side front window replaced. When they replaced it, they knocked the ground wire off the door speaker.

Good news it wasn’t more expensive, with new speakers and well then a new HU and amp, which leads to new sub woofers and touch screens, an X box ........
