Bad Tweeter?

I noticed the other day during a certain song that something was wrong with the speakers on the driver's side of my car. A sound that was apparently supposed to come from the left front tweeter was missing. I checked and there is definitely sound coming from all of the speakers except this one. Does anyone know if the left front tweeter fails commonly, or would this possibly be a lose connection behind the kickpanel where the door speaker and tweeter are spliced together. I am getting sound from my driver's door speaker, so I know it isn't the head unit amp (I have a stock 6 speaker system).

Thanks,
Jason

Could be speaker..could be the high pass filter...could be wiring....only takes a min to remove the pillar.... a small batt across the terminals will tell if the speaker is good ( disconnect first )..a voltmeter across the speaker wires will tel if there is any power there....

Did you have any warranty work done that required removal of the headliner and A pillar plastic? When I had my sun roof fixed, they broke a tweeter. Of course they were good enough to admit it and replace it.
