I made a post some time ago about me fighting with the reduced engine power p2135? Code.
since then I have:
replaced the TB(thought you could take them apart lol)
replaced the Pedal position sensor
Replaced the plug in on the actual TB
at times I can’t take a 5 min drive without having to reset codes atleast 30 times to make it to my destination
If I unplug the pcm, un plug the tb, jiggle some wires car drives perfect for hundreds of miles. Then it starts back and keeps getting worse until I unplug and clean the plugs again..
I have tugged on the 6? Wires that lead from the TB connector into the pcm connector and felt no noticeable pull within them to make me think wires are broken.
i would still like to replace these entire wires. Does anyone have a link where I can find the replacement connectors that feeds into the pcm connector?
i found a crimp tool on amazon and found various connectors but just want to make sure I buy the correct ones.
Usually it is the pin in the connector has pushed out the back.
P2135 has nothing to do with the Accelerator Pedal Position sensor. There are 2 Throttle Position sensors; 1 measures how open, the other measures how closed the throttle is. When the ECM/PCM senses that they don't agree it throws the code.
What year/model/engine, before I start spending time.
From what I've read the two sensors A and B are the throttle pedal and the throttle body.
If one doesn't agree with the other passed 2 seconds a code is thrown.
Google the code, it seemed to be a common problem with certain GM vehicles.
There are 2 circuits, the TB has 2 sensors and the pedal has 2 sensors. Neither the TB ot the pedal speaks directly to the other. P2135 checks that the 2 sensors in the TB agree with each other; Is the open angle complimentary to the closed angle?
I thought I was rather eloquent in my earlier description.
The TSB on the subject describes pins pushing out the back side of the ECM connector.
pins 57 & 59 on the C2 connector are for the throttle position sensor signals, however, there are also a 5 V ref and a low ref.
