Changing Classified Posting Requirements
In my opinion 30 days would be to short, no reason to have them that short..... If someone keeps bumping an ad once a week or so, they are trying to sell but the right buyer hasn't come along yet, to have it automatically delete at 30 days is kind of rude, don'ch think?
But a lot of those ads are well over a year and dead ends..... those can go away anytime.
Posting pics is posting pics, there's a how to posted here on the forum in the help section. No reason to change anything there.

30 days ... and if it doesn't sell, you can repost it.
That's not rude. It puts some responsibility on the poster to manage his/her adds.
Craigs list has a way to do a simple "One click to renew"
Your add reposts just as it was, with all the pic's included.
It also allows you to edit it after reposting in case something has changed.
This would take you off of the Bottom of the list and put you back to the Top so you don't just get lost somewhere way down the list.
Thats a plus.
Craigs list allows you to renew within every 7 days but I don't see that as neccesary here. 30 would work fine.
This keeps sellers active in the process so that they have to take action to repost their adds.
E Bay only allows you to post an add for 1-3-5-7-or 10 days.
Then you can repost if you want.
This is how the Top 2 Classified Sellers operate, and they are extremely succesful.
Also keep in mind that every HHR poster here is not real computer savy and posting pic's can be challenging for some.
One fly in the ointment about cutting all those old dead classifieds... there is a feedback thread with links to some of those posts.... Not a big deal, it would just lead to a "page not found" if somebody clicked on one and not that many use the feedback thread anyways. Just something to be aware of.
As far as post count, I agree. 25-50 should be okay...... as far as "meaningful posts" that may have to be up to the buyer to check what the guy has been up to on the forum before shelling out cash. It's always going to be a buyer beware situation no matter what the forum can change for the better.

When I posted about removing closed old classified threads, I thought about this also.. Especially since whenever I sell here, I always include my feedback links from those who have bought from me.
Granted not everyone who has bought, felt the need to leave feedback, but they were satisfied.. I always try & make sure every deal is good on both ends..
IMO it's the feedback thread comments left by buyers that is the most important part.
They tell you if all went well, & if they would buy again etc, etc... More important that even the old ad..
I do study these feedback threads before I buy from someone I haven't had much interaction with. Like ebay, feedback is important...

Never understood that rule.
I wasn't aware of that...... I could understand not using certain words or going on a rant, but if something was not as described or not received you can't post that in out forum classifieds???
They want you to take problems up through PM's, not on the forum.... That includes other members or vendors. So if there is a problem, you won't know about it.
I have read 1 Negative feedback, seller said some interior part was one color & buyer was steamed it came as another color.. Seller (reportedly) never would reply to PM"s etc.
Seller has never been back posting since..He sold his white AA5

If that has changed great. Cause I've seen one buyer state they never recieve parts (complaint) and they thread locked, cleaned up with a statement to take it to PM's, and then usually disappears.....
Everytime I've seen someone have a complaint about a seller or vendor, they are usually told to take it to PM's and the thread cleaned up, meaning it's either locked, deleted, or the negative parts deleted.

I don't know what thread or user you are speaking of. So I can help with that.

And post #2 in that threads states:
