it would be cool if you guys could develop a chat feature between friends on the site, i would find this very useful.

 

Its been brought up in the past, not sure it will or would ever happen.

There are always PM's and assorted places to pick/poke/cajole one another in the lounge.

 

the cobalt ss forum has a chat, why shouldn't we? i think it would be a really cool feature

 

People have argued that that feature would detract from use of the Forum portion and thus remove the need to have it if people used it too much.

I do have chat software (separate from a forum) and servers, I suppose I could offer an unofficial spot if this forum does not wish to. I'm not trying to compete, I just like the idea of chat too. I'll think about it.
