Database error, anyone else having trouble ?
No,… I don’t think I was hacked. I have Norton antivirus and a different firewall here and my ISP just upgraded to what they think is a better firewall. I have had no issues till now.
What I think is either it’s a coincidence or someone has hacked the HHR site and gathered my e-mail address that way. That’s why I usually use a hotmail or yahoo email address for sites like this.
All the spam was caught by Norton and I did not open any of them just blocked and deleted them.
I guess the real test will be if my hotmail account gets blasted with spam.

Still am at times getting this: Sever too busy, try again later..
& this morning I again got the Error message like 843 posted..
Something is not right.
I know changing the host server may be a possible reason..
But hopefully something can improve, cause this bites !!!
This was the best HHR forum going.. Now it's a headache to just get on the site..
I received the "HTTP Error 500 Internal server error" for about an hour this morning. For those of you still complaining, forget it. It has been years and the owner/administrator has repeatedly shown his lack of interest in making anything better. Get on when you can and when you can't go somewhere else.
We were not hacked. Your email address was not compromised from this site.
I suspect your email address was gathered from the internet where your email address is posted. (It's out there, I did a search and found it.)
Once your email address is collected from such a source and ends on one of those spam lists, it's hard/impossible to get removed from them.

Tom, ...in additions, most folks do not use the BCC feature when sending bulk emails, thus exposing all the emails contained within. When forwarding those emails emails, all the other addresses in the original email go out as well. There is software that collects address from these bulk emails. This could be another place where your email address could have been added to a spammers list.
Yahoo seems to have pretty good spam filters. You may tweak your spam filter settings a notch higher.

I’ve been messing with computers since the mid 70’s I know better than to use the BCC or CC buttons on e-mail.
I’ve been known to severely yell at family and friends that do.
One of my cousins keeps begging for my e-mail address but she keeps those chain e-mail things going single handedly so, sometimes she gets one of my ‘disposables’ email address’s but the first time she sends one of her crapmails to me that one gets dumped never to be used by me again.
Its bad enough that she has my landline phone number. At least she doesn’t give that out. She can still get a hold of me through the family website.
A while back I finally got badgered into signing up for face book. I used a yahoo e-mail address and so far its been ‘clean’
