P.S. - I think our moderators are doing a great job thus far, all the way around! Thanks!

Maybe we just need one of those monkeys with a sledgehammer that comes out and knocks you over the head. I think the mods are doing a dandy job not only with spam but with everything else as well. But if you were to add another I think CourtHouseDeb would be excellent.

You're correct, GDZHHR & Deb, I wasn't implying anything negative about our mods. I just see the load getting bigger, and that presents a problem to the people who have other responsibilities.

I disagree about the comment, "....nothing you can do....." . I belong to other forums (as well as anti-Spam organizations) and a couple of those get NO SPAM. Considering their membership and distribution is much larger, that says a lot.

Oh by the way, if I get 1 piece of SPAM per week, in my e-mail or website, that is a lot. I have, and take, the necessary precausions.

Whoa. I could do that. I wouldn't mind having the responsibilty, I would accualy enjoy it. I love this site, and anything I could do to help I would gladly do.

I laughed when I thought of it too, but I could really see it happening. Hell, I attempted to drive halfway across the country for a 2, 3 hour meet up in a car that didn't want to work. I know that has nothing to do with moderating, but it shows my determiniation.

Ahh, who knows. Maybe someday, somewhere. If I start my own website I would be, but it's just not as honorable as being appointed the postition.

Who am I kidding, it'll never happen. :sigh:

Instead of worring about the spammers that post and most likely will not be back, why not look into a verifing email to allow the first post JonyyB? If it can be done.

Just my suggestion, don't kill me for it!!
