How about if we had a welcome to guests thread on the front page? Something that encourages them to join the group and participate in the discussions rather than just lurking. Maybe we could each post a message in it that tells a little about each of us and what we enjoy about the group, reasons we decided on the HHR...things like that. Something upbeat and friendly to encourage more people to join this great group. Maybe make it a sticky on the front page news board? Just and idea for something to be right there when they walk in the door, making them feel welcome. What are your thoughts admin and members?

 

I think there are a few threads that cover that already. They are spread out all over the Fourm though.
I like the idea of a Welcome sticky though.

 

Bad idea, we get 20-30 members a day... the front page would be just BLAH! Welcome them in the Lounge :)
