I have the Upgraded Headunit (Single Disc) with the 7 Spk. upgraded speakers in my LS. I must admit, KUDOS to Chevy actually a not bad system, and it appears that they got some good dampening / rattle control going on.

The highs are clean and bright. Mids maybe a little throaty but acceptable.
The Sub, well I give it a 10 for being an 8"er, but in the lower octaves (say 50hz and below) the output drops off..

I would like some input for filling the bottom gap with some authority...
The setup will need to be strapped in and not "permanent".

Say... IDMAX 12 with maybe 500-600 watts in a cube with quick disconnects?
