Brake Shoe Question

I am replacing the rear shoes for the first time. I just replaced the front pads with Wagner Thermoquiet ceramic pads.

How important is it to put ceramic shoes on the back to match the material on the front? They are quite a bit more expensive than a good name-brand set of shoes. If I don't really need them I will buy a set of Centric non-ceramic shoes from Rock Auto ($20) instead of the Wagner ceramic shoes ($37).

Thanks
Steve

I wouldn't worry about ceramics for drums. The main benefit to me is the brake dust and that's not an issue with drums. Although it will keep them cleaner inside.
