Drag bags used for towing?

Just picked up my first ever front wheel drive...an 09 cherry little black panel with 14,000 miles.Still smells new, I love it!. I put lowering springs on...18 inch wheels off a g6 gtp and a trailer hitch. I want to tow my teardrop that I use with my hotrod. Has anyone used the dragbags for this purpose?I realize they are made for the strip, just wondering how they might handle sustained pressure for longer periods of time. Thoughts??

Welcome to the sight and congrats on your new Panel. I have an 08 black Panel myself which I purchased new.

Yes. Several people have installed them for towing. I purchased them but have not installed them yet. Will be getting a small trailer this year and will install them then. I wish I had them before my last road trip. Had the Panel loaded down and she squated a bit in the rear.
Enjoy your ride!

i have been thinking of installing air springs. i have towed this trailer about 40,000 miles with my panel. And now the panel has about 200,000 miles on it. But after i load the trailer and panel with my stuff it is about 1200 lbs and it does squat a little. Only bothers 0n-coming drivers after dark. But overall i could not be more pleased in how the HHR has handled the towing. I live in the mountains and it is not an easy trek. And the trailer has no brakes either.

Panelmoxie's setup is very similar to mine....I only towed my teardrop around the block ....since then i've lowered it. Think those bags would really help. Thanks for your input.
