McKinney HHR Owner

Live here in McKinney, Just North of Dallas. I just purchased a 2008 HHR 1LT. It's dark gray, with leather and sunroof, and I love it. First one and I've loved the design since it first came out. Nice to see some other HHR owners from North Texas sounding off here.

New guy here. We just purchased our 2009 HHR LS two weeks ago. We're outside of Burleson, and I work in Dallas. Man, I am loving the milage this HHR gets!

Just throwing this out there, I went to High School in Allen, my sister lives in McKinney, my dad, 1 of my sisters, 1 of my brothers, and my nephew still live in Allen. I want to get back there so bad it is stupid, went back there after I got out of the Navy in 06 and couldn't find a job to save my life so I came back here to San Diego for what was supposed to be temporary until I could find something out there. Unfortunately that is kind of hard to do from half the country away! Anyone knows anywhere I could get a job let me know! I was a Personnelman (HR-type paper-pusher) for my first part of the Navy, Aviation Electronics Technician the second half, and now work as a Marine Electrician building new ships for the Navy.

My wife starts work today in Longview. I'll be joining her there next May. (Planning to come for a month around the holidays, too)

Cool. I'm from Longview and moved to McKinney about 3 years ago. Lived there all of my life (35 years). Where is she working? Nice quiet city. Not too much going on there. Wow, looking at where you are moving from, that's a long move. Hope y'all like it there.

She's working for General Dynamics SATCOM ... interestingly enough, it's her second job for a company with "General" in its name (previous was General Motors). She's trying to get used to the place herself. She'll have a nice time come winter, but right now it's heat and humidity and new place jitters.

Yea, I understand that. Over here in the Dallas area the humidity is not as bad but it usually is about 5 degrees hotter in the summer. Hey if you are looking to build a house let me know. My father owns his own residential design firm, which has been in business there in Longview since 1957. My grandfather started the business when my Dad was a kid. It is family owned and operated and always has been. My mother, sisters, wife, and I have worked there designing houses all over East-Texas. It is Bostock Drafting and Design. Like I said you need to build, he can draw it up. Later and good luck to y'all there in Longview.
