Exclamation Florida power outage!

POWER OUTAGE FROM JACKSONVILLE TO MIAMI

http://edition.cnn.com/2008/US/02/26...ef=mpstoryview

Fortunately I was spared from any result of this outage here in Miami. I had just left to run a few errands and didn't notice anything until I got a mile away from the house, the radio station I was listening to went silent, and then I came across several intersections where the signals weren't working. Hope it gets back up by rush hour tonight as everybody thinks that they have the right away at a "blacked out" intersection. I nearly got rearended twice for stopping at those intersections while on the majory arteries that connect the western part of the county!

Has this outage affected anyone else in Florida?

Reports say the West coast is being affected as far north as Tampa.

Actual cause was determined to be caused by an electrical substation just outside Miami, which caused 2 reactors at Turkey Point to shut down.
