I'm in Charlotte, North Carolina but you didn't tell us where you are located in North Carolina. I have a 2006 HHR 2LT Silverstone Metallic, got it in May and just returned from a road trip of 2200 miles. We have over 4,200 miles on it already and we couldn't be happier.

'06 2LT Sunburst, Gibson cat back, CGS intake, reflashed ECU, rear sway bar, painted interior parts to match exterior.

this is my wifes car, she and I seem to be having trouble agreeing on the body kit and the aftermarket grills that are currently availible. She likes them, I DONT. So it looks like we, or I, will scatch build something I like.

Future upgrades
18'' Diablo Sabers(on order)
NEW BRAKES(HHR's only downfall)
grill
body kit
turbo
air ride

I have also signed up to start a Club with the other site but not sure if I want to go with this group instead. I didn't find this site till after I had contacted the other club.

I live in Charlotte. Although I am pretty busy with work, I would be interested. I think it is ok to be a member of a number of different forums. I have 3 that I check out as much as I can. I also have a Silverstone 2.4L 2LT. We got it in May and we have had absolutely no problems. I have done a few mods, the two I recommend are the CGS Air Intake and the Anti-Sway Bar, both available from Mike @ SoCalHHR http://www.socalhhrs.com/socalhhrshome.html one of the supporting vendors. He also has a number of useful links listed on his site. Welcome

John

Airborne_Beachbum 09-29-2006 06:33 PM

I'm easily enticed by any excuse for a road trip. I would go.

Let me know if they will not. I'm sure I could get Dick Shirley in Burlington to. I'm there doing work 2-3 days a week.

tomdent1 10-03-2006 11:25 AM

I talked to Kelly Shirley (general manager)at Dick Shirley chevrolet in burlington, and even if Labonte will host this one he wants to do one too.

Any new news on a NC get together (I need motivation to finish my current mods in progress)?

Nick

tomdent1 10-29-2006 07:23 PM

I've been wondering what has happened. I'll be at SEMA all week. I'll try to set it up when i get back, if there is interest.

Airborne_Beachbum 10-29-2006 09:38 PM

I would like to make it to one of the FL G2G but, the next one will be the weekend of my nephews birthday. Maybe if there is one around the New Year, that is the next time I plan on being in the central FL area.

I wanted to stop by and say hello to everyone.
My wife and I purchased a black 2007 2LT Saturday
in Concord, NC. It will be her primary daily driver but
I may have to sneak and drive it whenever possible.LOL
Looking forward to making a few modifications to it but nothing major. Hopefully if there is ever a get together I can make it.

That's my 2007 Premiere Edition, done a few things: Black bowtie overlays, shorty antenna, silverstar turn signal bulbs.

Have a CGS intake on the way, and I am currently piling up parts for the audio install, and have lightweight pullies on the way too. Look forward to making this as unique as my Cavalier was before my accident. :(

Sounds like you ended up here the same way I did. Someone pulled out in front of me back in June and totalled my truck. This HHR has been a lot of fun to drive so far and I too am looking forward to some mods. :thumb:
