"Tail of the Dragon" Meet
"Tail of the Dragon" Meet
The gtg is scheduled for 18-21st of October. Here in the beautiful Tennessee mountains, during the fall foliage. This is a great event for all hhr owners.
We have been asked to keep this thread related to our forum, and I totally agree. If you would like further information related to this meet. Please feel free to PM me, bassbase, or hhrnole for specific times, locations, and hotel information. We are expecting many members from all of the ecotec platforms. Cobalts hhrs solstice, etc. this is a great opportunity to put a face to a screen name, get a caravan shot from zeephoto, swap horror stories on our retro rockets, see some fantastic scenery, and eat some great food. Oh and plenty of twisty mountain roads.
Again please keep comments related to our forum.

P.S.,
For anyone who likes to fish like me, there are plenty of streams and lakes to get away to for awhile. There is a stream with a trout farm just off the Cherohala Skyway south of Deals Gap. I beleive it is called Snowbird Creek. The group drove the Cherohala Skyway last year on our way to the Dragon. Pretty stream, lots of trout.
There are also wild rainbow trout in Parsons Branch, right at Parsons Curve. See the above map. I also hit this one last year. Parsons Branch road is a dirt road the parallels most of the stream.
There is also the Tellico River of course. Great stream.
If anyone want to get away and fish for a while, I will show you where to go and gladly join you because I plan on packing the fly rod again for sure.

I have no idea. This is a thread for a get together and cruise that has been organized for the Tail of the Dragon where people from a bunch of different states are going to meet for 4 days, cruise, go to dinner, hang out and talk shop ect.
You may want to start a seperate thread in the SE froum and pose that question again.

Tail of the Dragon Fall 2012
Any scheduled meet locations for the TOTD. I live in Lenoir City, just outside of Knoxville and would like to meet and see other HHR during this week. I work at night, so my availability is limited. Do we know times and locations planned for this week end?
Something to consider (see below):
Fall 2012 Corvette EXPO in Sevierville, TN (easily accessible by I-40, located on Highway 66 only 6 miles from exit #407) feature an Auction, Swap Meet, Sales Corral, and Show with cash awards. Auction time is 11AM on Saturday the 20th of October.
The Show is convenient to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains, Harrah’s Cherokee Casino, Dollywood, and the Dragon. Pigeon Forge offers unlimited shopping in hundreds of outlet mall stores, souvenir shops, and specialty stores. Pigeon Forge is full of entertainment to include Elvis tribute, go-karts, bungee jumping, helicopter rides, dinner theaters, music theaters, and shows galore. East Tennessee is beautiful in the fall, during late October as the leaves change with maximum color. Gatlinburg offers quaint shops, local cuisine, area crafts, and world renown candy and taffy shops.

I'm in Oak Rdge and according to where the others will be off of 75, I'm trying to figure out just where I'm going to meet everyone. I'm limited because of both work and child but I'm still wanting to meet as many of you as I can.
