What did you have in mind? A short day trip or long weekend type trip?

Sorry I do not know who is on first

How about if we figure out where the central point is for all the South Mountain states is and work from there? Maybe somewhere in the 4 corners area? The we could park a few HHR's in each state and take a group photo.

I'll see what I can figure out and report back.

Thanks! I knew it was one of them.

Four corners sound neat.

According to Mapquest, the closest town to the four-corners area is Teec Nos Pos, about eight miles away in Arizona So, from the major cities to Teec Nos Pos:
Denver: 424 miles
Phoenix: 364 miles
Flagstaff: 220 miles
Albuquerque: 255 miles
Salt Lake City: 392 miles

Ouray is about 80 miles to the northwest. Wouldn't be bad camping at all. Hear they have great scenery. I've seen the San Juans from 120 miles north of there and they look awesome even at that distance.

I can not speak for any of the Socal folks but I did a fast search and Sindy would be looking at a 611 mile trip one way 9 hours drive time.
Not sure they would be up to a drive that far IMO. I could be wrong
Were we looking at doing just a 2 day weekend run or what? Kids will be back in school at that time so it could make things a little tougher for some of us.

Anyone have other ideas? Not that this is bad, maybe just get some other ideas going also

I know I am about 45-50 miles south of Sindy. That is way too far to drive for a weekend G2G for me. It was hard enough to get up at 4:30 am for work after the weekend in Williams, but it WAS well worth it I would definitely drive that far again
