Anyone interested in going to an Airshow?
#12
Well, it just came to me on a whim any way,
But, after reading these turn-down e-mails, it will really tick me off, that is if I even go to the show, if I see the Budweiser display with the NASCAR and/or Indy race cars sponsored by you know who or the Miss. Budweiser speed boat on display as they have done before. These air shows have relied more on corporate sponsors since the military population here is very limited now. I remember when it was all put on by the units on base and the surrounding community.
Having the south gate closed to the public now will add about 30-40 miles on any ones drive coming up the 15 or the 14 to Edwards. And gas up here is over $3 for all brands.
The weather in October can be pretty unpredictable also. I have worked in these air shows with the wind kicking up really bad at times. The temperature would be in the 50's at day break and by 2 in the afternoon the temp would be pushing 90 or so.
Oh well.
