Normally we all meet at the hotel and then caravan down to the restaurant. The Main Street Grill is a great BBQ place but it is sort of like a cafeteria. You go to the counter and order your food and then go find a table. If we are lucky we can get some of the tables against the window so we can all get together. Also, if the weather is nice they have an outside patio. One more thing.. They don't take plastic! Cash only.

For anyone who just wants to go straight there instead of to the hotel, they are located on the far north end of Cambria. There is a shell station just north of them and that is about it.

Thats a great tip about cash... we hardly carry any anymore..... I am sure we will go to the hotel first.......

Just look for me I will be the one with the Chevorlet Keys in my Pocket........ Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

coast run

wow this is great we just took delivery of our red hhr tonight and i find this! we're from Bakersfield and plan on joining up! tried to make hotel reservations but said we have to call Friday hopefully theres still room.

check page 10 of this thread (https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/show...=3022&page=10). Motel 6 (formerly a Holiday Inn) might still have some available rooms for friday and saturday of the meet.

rgr: I hope you get reservations. Songman (The guy who started this thread)is in Bakersfield also... A few of us are going to try and meet up at Highway 41 and 46 where James Dean was Killed....

Let us know and we will give you details...

This should be fun my wife and I have not met anyone from this forum and we are looking forward to seeing the new HHR's and their Mods... Plus doing a run up to Monterey (we have never done a run either)..........

yes! we got reservations at motel 6 for friday night and the host hotel for saturday.looking forward to cruising from bakersfield.just drove our red hhr today to work for the 1st time. great fun.

I am 6'1" and wieght 270 and I love driving ours.... My wife who is 5 ft loves it too. She gets to drive it everyday......... Glad your going to be able to joing us....... If you have any question Please feel free to ask........
