Is Lancaster where Frank Zappa and Captain Beefheart grew up?

You missed one of the BEST ones I've felt in years!
I was standing up and felt the rolling vibrations then the real shaking--about 30 seconds. Give it a 9 on the cool/scary scale (not Richter! )

Glad you're ok there Kim! I may leave to go check on my animals and my 1920's unsupported bungalow house!

Not sure, but it is where Judy Garland Grew up, and Palmdale, which is the same area, is where the space shuttles we built

This is the first time I was ever really shaken up by one. Usually just roll with them, no big deal. But this time I could actually say I felt a little apprehensive. I guess cause stuff was falling around me.

Yes it is. Don't know if Capt. Beefheart was from here or not, just transplanted here in '94. But definitely Frank Zappa.

In alot of early Zappa records he mentions places like Palmdale, Lancaster, San Bernadino and such. It sounds like a neat little area. I also heard he had a studio in Cucamonga. i just love that name, CUCAMONGA. You folks in the USA have such great city and town names.
