Fontuckey Road Trip!

I had the good fortune to drive out to the inland empire yesterday for work, Rialto and Fontana to be exact. It is a company car after all. I always like to make it a fun trip if possible. So I swung by the Super Speedway (fka: California Speedway) and asked if I could do a few hot laps in the HHR. The guard at the gate turned me down, but he did let me take a couple pics on the way out!

COOL PICTURES!!!

But your two-tone retro color panel looks good in front of anything... I'm jealous...

I try anyway.

The drive out there was Brutal! Avoid the 55 freeway at all cost. They have been doing road work and have ground down the edge of every overpass so that there is a 1"-2" lip on each side of the overpass. Hitting that at 70 was painful to live through. I was sure I would have a bent rim like JT did. Slowing down wasn't much better either.

Thanks BK, I carry the camera with me at all times, you never know what you will stumble upon out here in SoCal.

Haha -- could be worse - I just heard that there's a huge sinkhole on the 110 up near Pasadena.

Sink hole nuthin... It's just a conspiracy to get people to stop enjoying the drive and use Mess Transit. It was all done with smoke n mirrors

Great pics Tim!

The car looks great as always, I know that is a hell of a drive....But the pics look good! When I think about it, I cannot believe that I drove from Yucaipa to Garden Grove everyday. Fontana sucks other than the racetrack. Again nice pics. Todd (Uma)
