I agree with you Don! I'm tired already thinking about it!
I owe someone dinner--maybe it's time to pay up that weekend...

One of my professor's kindly sent us an email telling us to start reading books a month before the class starts--so I guess I should do that. I have no *real* free weekends..but need to eat!

@ngelita off to eat dorm food--yum!

6 - 20 small hot dried red chiles tepin, Thai dragon, pico de gallo or similar, crushed (I used 2t ground cayenne pepper)
4 - 6 cloves garlic, minced
2 Tbsp dry leaf oregano (If using ground oregano, reduce to about 1 ½ t)
2 tsp whole cumin seed, crushed (I just used ground)
1 tsp black pepper, ground
1-1/2 tsp sugar (I tried it with white and with brown, brown gives it a better flavor)
4 Tbsp cider or wine vinegar (Cider is better)
2-1/2 Tbsp water

If you can find what your "tia" (Sister?) uses that would be great, little this, little that is fine, thats how I cook.
I recommend New Mexico Chili Powder if you want more 'heat'. Only kind I use! I seem to remember her using a bay leaf at some point??? I don't talk to her that often to ask her again. But that sounds about right.

Tia is "auntie"

since the thread is hijacked already
Cooking is my therapy as well and learning to cook all over from scratch to leave out gluten and lactose was a real eye opener but my family loves the flavors and work that goes into make it. Food of Love :)

Burger run sounds good too. Maybe we can try different ones to make it an adventure!

Ang, if you are referring to me / dinner owed, you forget you bought me A&J's. Debt squared away!.

Jeez, what started out as Speedzone or Angels game, then just Angels game, then tailgate and no game, then BBQ at Cheri's, then they arent gonna be home, then maybe Compound but there's no time for set up.....(takes excedrin).....now, burger run somewhere, I see FUBAR written all over, lol.

In that case, you owe me now!

Okay, what did I miss? When could you not get your leg on? Whaaaa?

BAD DOG !!! You are on crutches? ARgggghhh. Ankle? Knee?

How is Becca? She was doing so great last weekend!

I'd like to know what you CAN eat, Elle' for future BBQ reference.

I've been at the doc today - getting good ole vicodin for the back, and instructions to get back into normal routine and stop resting it. Also had several pre-cancerous spots on my face frozen, and so I am burned and red-spotted. Not going ANYWHERE for a while. GROSSSS.

Sorry about not noticing the calendar

Yes indeed. In my own experience, a SNAFU comes right before a FUBAR.
