Just Got My HHR Today!Any So. Calif Clubs?
So Sindy...we cannot have a local club and still belong to this website unless we all pay $35? Why is that? I do not understand, it takes nothing away from this website, if anything it would only get more members. Please explain, I am not trying to be confrontational at all, but is it that we are supposed to be so loyal to this website?Todd(Uma)
That $35 fee is for membership on another HHR site. There are sections that can only be view/poseted to by paid members. I have not been there for over a year but I think that club listings if for paid members only.
Cant we make our own website, independent of this $35 dollar fee website? Who makes this other website the "official" club listings website? We can have our own dues, our own website etc. We don't need to stinkin' other website to tell us if were official or not.
To Do:
1) get a name
2) find a suitable meeting place (somewhere with PIZZA!)
3) Meet and Greet monthly!
4) Done!

That is my point exactly. I love this website, after all it is where we all have meet. But, $35 so we can meet and talk once a month or so?? I see no reason for that, we will all still stay here, to meet new people and recruit, and take advantage of all the vendors and such. We will work on this, See you all at Tom's Farm!! Todd (Uma)
OK, now I am wishing I could make this..but I'm taking an exam that day (applying for my doctorate).
I think things are getting confusing. It seems that someone brought up what the other site does and only mentioned that they charge $35 to be a member. I don't think they were saying *we* had to do this.
yes?
Also, perhaps since this seems to be a small, but albeit dedicated group of HHR enthusiasts spread out throughout SoCal, rather then one place to meet, choose a different city/county each time. For instance, IE one time, OC another, LA, SD, etc. Make it no more then a few hours drive so we can just meet up and not have to spend the night someplace (unless you want of course). I know one of the joys of our cars is that we look for any excuse to drive someplace isn't it?!
Just my dos centavos...

WOW - I have missed this thread for a few days....LOVIN' the action here.
YES - Tom's FARMS is going to be a place to hear from everyone. UMA-TODD, wow, what a catchy name, though COASTLINE HHR's --- where'dya get that?
And what a COOOL idea, meeting in different areas monthly, wherever an interested person wants to host a little group and giving us a chance to cruise a bit. We have 7 counties around us!
I'm not aware of any HHR CLUB thing that costs $35 - someone want to give me a link to that - I thought HHR CLUB was just a place to buy merchandise.
Re websites, I have a little forum right now for a different group, but can make more of them free on my home website if you just want a place for us guys to chatter at; it would never replace this forum and all of its nationwide coverage and information. I could gin that up in an evening.

Cheri,
The HHR club link is http://www.hhrclub.org . I think it is more of a Business than a forum like this one. I don't go there often and it never looks any different or updated. I like Todd's name Coastline HHR's too.
I started a new thread about this subject. Here is a link:
