Yeah.
Beauty and brains!
That sure is(n't) me!
As Oscar Wilde said, education is an admirable thing, but it is well to remember from time to time that nothing that is worth knowing can be taught.

You both need new Rx's for them glasses!

Never met Mr. Wilde, so I don't necessarily have to agree with his opinion.

Off topic....or rather back on topic....

I called Meguiars today to take advantage of the 10% off and free shipping,
as per Mike at Saturday's class. I ordered the G110 DA Polisher. Please note, NO polishing pads come with the DA....only the velcro backing plate.

Turns out there have been changes that Mike was not aware of.

1st - no more free shipping.

2nd - the Conneticut firm that ships for Meguiars, has now listed in California, so tax is now charged.

Brian, who took my order, compensated by giving me some wax and foam hand applicators.

Regarding the chemicals, Meguiars charges full suggested retail price.....

I ordered the supplies from Auto Detailing Solutions, recommended by Leon.

------- > http://www.autodetailingsolutions.com/

For example, a quart of Meguiars M105 Solution

Meguairs = $32.00
ADS = 24.00

Mike, the owner is all over this stuff. Much better prices than Meguiars and he ships immediately. No sales tax in Calif, of course. The stuff I ordered this afternoon, will be at my door on Friday morning. And if you spend $125.00 or more, he throws in a free Meguiars tote bag.

ADS has always done well by me. In fact I just ordered a 6-pack of the new 2.0 DA pads from them. Seperatly they're $15, if you order any 6, they're $10. I got 1 cutting pad, 2 polishing pads, and 3 finishing pads. After you have waxed with a DA you may never do a car by hand again. I've found the NXT tech wax 2.0 to be a delight to use and remove and no white residue on plastic. I also really like the nxt window cleaner.

Mike Phillips highly recommended the NXT wax. He said it is pure synthetic wax with zero carnuba. He said it was better than the Gold Class too. I will be giving it a try.

I also ordered a 6 pac, but my choice was 1-4-1 ... The 3 of us will be using the DA to tone up some older cars.....Let me know how you like the new wax.
