Moon BBQ Saturday 7-14-07
I know this is short notice but I just found out about it. I went to this several years ago and it was awesome. Some of Sothern Californias nicest Rod's and Custom's show up and it is car guy heaven. I met Ed "Big Daddy" Roth there when I went (before he passed away). If you are anywhere near Norwalk Ca. it is worth stopping by. You can get some old school ideas for your HHR and meet some great people too. It usually gets some magazine coverage too. See you there!

We went, some pretty cool oldies there - but didn't see anything I'd trade for except that red chevy on the street - '47 convertible with that old plastic radio setup still in perfect condition, matched to the window rollup trims --- so much good work in the details and of course, Old School Dayton wire wheels.
Saw 2 black HHRs, but not you Uma. Wrong wheels for sure! Didn't see any other HHR people - it was definitely not the newer car crowd. The cloud cover held up just for us, but it's scorching already out there now.
Coming home, saw a HERD of old old rods parked in downtown Anaheim, don't know what's going on there either.
Some days, it really GRIPES me to leave the house without my CAMERA!!!!

Yep,
I was there and I spotted Hnewagn right off. I went over and checked it out up close and the graphics look even better in person. It is one nicely done HHR.
There was a sweet black one with 20's parked by me too. There were some amazing cars and people at the event. I had a great time.
I did cut out early and shoot over to Boyd Coddington's shop for the monthly open house. We got to walk around the shop and see some cool cars in various stages of construction. They were filming some of the guy's working for American Hotrod too. All in all it was a cool day.
