SoCal Meet the Fockers Cruise 7/25

I gotta take Maximo to the vet at 8 am, so I will try and meet up for a bit with you all afterwards (but need to leave by noon).
Blackie is filthy (to me), but will still be shiny.
See you all (maybe) in the morning!

Nice People!
Well 4 of us cruised in together (Angie, Kris & Son, Todd and myself) and it was a bit awkward at first, but amazingly enough they are a bunch of good people having fun with their cars too. We met with the club president Dee and his wife Jan along with several other members. Then checked out the incredible cars. There were some very trick PTs and lots of custom paint. Oh and PT Bob is a bad word for them too, in fact they try not to mention him. They were so nice they even gave us "I'm a fan of PT Cruisers of OC" fans to battle the heat. We didn't stay too long but we may go back as a group some time and do it right.
Here are some pics
This is the Club Presidents car and his one of a kind PT trailer which was awesome
Here is their set up, much like our Tom's Farm event only monthly.
Lots of highly customized PTs
Here was our line up on the outskirts.

Considering they meet monthly, they have a pretty good showing--i think about 20ish of them were there and a white HHR.
The meeting kind of reminded me of making peace with the natives--we met in the middle and shook hands, exchanged howdy's and admired each others rides. We all put up our "I'm a fan" fans on our cars
Of course, Tim's panel is always a hit and lots of questions on the AA5. Don't know if they 'sold' any!
They were VERY impressed (and envious) when we all literally one after another used the remote start.
Although one of the gals mentioned to me as we left that they consider our cars PT-wannabe's. I politely reminded her we have the same "dad" and that we came to admire. Nice folks and it would be cool to do something with them.

Hope all is well soon Cheri!...and yes they were really nice to us. They mentioned a few things like they were first and so on...but really as a group, They are very nice people. The auto-start did get some envious looks, as well the panel and AA5. Thanks for the pics Tim! Todd (Uma)

Just got back from our Carlsbad weekend. Looks like you guys made some freinds with the PT crowd, nice pics.I'm their nice people, except for the last remark us being PT wannabes. I don't think so.
