SoCalHHRs Needed to make a point
Howdy everyone,
Well as many of you know SoCalHHRs has been going to Donut Derelicts off and on over the last 3 years. Well last weekend some "nimrod" placed a flyer on Jonny's car (and Tracy's truck) asking them to park across the street so the "real classic cars" could be enjoyed by the crowds. Well needless to say this set the tone and calls for action. This is not an organized event but a casual gathering of car enthusiasts. So someone has taken it upon themselves to be the "Donut Shop Police".
If you can make it this Saturday at all, I ask that you roll in with your HHR and join us in force. I would love to flood the place with HHRs just to make a point. So if there is a little rebel in you and you want to make a stand with your HHR please come down and show your HHR pride!

I made the Golden, CO cruise on Saturday night. about 3 miles of classics, hot rods, muscle cars and new muscle driving up and down their main street, with the street lined with people and cars. Happens the first Saturday of every month in the summer. The guys in the "real" SS Malibus were smirking at my HHR SS. Interesting, I thought, considering the HHR SS is equal in performance in 0-60 and quarter mile to the '70 LS-5 SS454 Malibu automatic. For all their noise, pollution and no gas mileage, they weren't all that fast in today's world. So get out there and fill that parking lot! I would drive to So Cal if I had time just to join you!
