Well, that lets us out then. I was hoping for April or May, but didn't know about the thaw. We already have a big commitment the 3rd week of June. But take lots of pictures; I WILL get there some day.

Any change in this date? I am hoping to make this trip someday and go over to Mono Lake. The photography opportunities are endless there.

All HHR groups will meet in Oakhearst and go to Yosemite from there. No matter what time of year - Yosemite is beautiful country!

Did You see this Cheri?

Yeah, Cheri, it's pretty bad right now. We're 12 miles south of Yosemite and my power has been out since late Sunday night. We're being told that we might not get it back until Friday afternoon. We had 6 inches of rain over the weekend and then a very thick snow fell all the way down to 2,000 feet and just started snapping trees and branches. Power lines are still down in the middle of alot of roads 40 hours later!

Wow that's just awful! I swear, I have lived here 20 years and I have never seen a longer winter. I think we need to castrate the Ground hog! He's just too full of himself these days!!

How do you manage without power - do most folks have a backup generator? Did you have any property damage?

I used to live in Mariposa, not in the town out in the hills. This stuff happens occasionally. Good luck HHR ROX, keep the woodstove goin'
