Yosemite Run February or March
I'm Back
Just got back from NY last night. Heard from my brother they just had snow recently in the hills here so I am thinking waiting until the 25th on this one. Especially since we want to go up high for the scenery. Can't believe the long winter we are having...too crazy! I am so used to coming back to over 100 degree weather, where is it?? I am ready to go though.

Yosemite Run Official Date
Greetings friends,
The Yosemite Run official date will be June 25, 2011.
There will be two places that we will meet up (Modesto, and Fresno), before rendezvousing at the intersection of HWY 41 N. and E. Yosemite Avenue/RD 145. There’s a Park-and-Ride there we can stretch our legs.
In Fresno, we will meet up at the Costco Gas Bar at 7100 N. Abby St. We will gas up there, if needed, and then head onto 41 N all the way to our rendezvous site. We will pass by Chukchansi Casino (Here’s a Google Maps link: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&bi...ed=0CCYQnwIwAQ
), so if anyone wants to stop there on the way back, to either play a few games or spend the night, you may want to make a reservation. We should be getting back maybe around 6 or 7pm.
The Modesto location is yet to be determined. Connie will get back to me regarding it.
Park entry fees are as follows (from the NPS): Disabled the entry is FREE. The park entrance fee applies to all visitors. If you arrive in your private car, minivan, pickup truck, or RV, the entrance fee is $20 per car. This is valid for unlimited entries to Yosemite for seven days, and includes all occupants of the car.
TIMES: The Fresno meet time will be 9am (it will take about 30 minutes to get to 41 & 145). The Modesto meet time will be 7am (2 ½ hours to get to 41 & 145). It will take an additional 2 hours to get to Yosemite.
What to Bring: Money (for park fees, and stops at restaurants, gas), water, snacks, cameras, Club Spirit, and anything else you want to bring.
Everyone will be getting more emails from me as the days go on.
Karl
