I agree. Fix the stat first. When hitting the throttle what is the RPM doing?

They're the same thing. "Limp" is kind of like a slang term.
Like: Limp home when you're hurt.

Limp mode refers to a display on the DIC. It will display; ENG PWR REDUCED

There are CELs that bring it up instantly. I can't confirm that 0128 does. If blue says so I'd have to agree. But, you're definitely not in limp mode with any kind of boost.

I have had the loss of power from my MAF CEL. The ECM will only allow 4-5 lbs. And it is very noticeable when trying to accelerate. But it's nothing like ENG PWR REDUCED. With that on the display, you're car will barely run allowing only RPMs under 2000 and no boost. Just enough to let you "limp" home.

Get your stat installed, if you're not "clutch savvy" I would suggest having it looked at by someone that you trust.
