That was what I am unsure about. It says it is using the Metri-Pack Series 480 which should be just like this other one (Aptiv) I linked too. Hopefully their measurements are listed incorrect.

The GM service manual will have the part number and specs of each connector, if someone has access (my server is down right now, or I'd look).

Mouser is a great source (mouser.com) for components. Doing a quick search, this could be the one:
https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail...lDyvHe8w%3D%3D
I've ordered from them before and it was painless.

I may be able to get my server back online this weekend, if that would help.

Also, don't discount there may be something more wrong that caused the connector to melt. Or, it could've just been a poor connection...

That looks different... For some reason.

I just realized the link doesn't work in my previous post. Just go to Mouser and search for part number 12124388.

Sincerely,
Robert

That's must be the other connector, from the harness to the module. We're talking about the fan to the module.

Mitchell only has the one that I could find. Maybe it is considered part of the fan? GM considers the shroud, fan and module an assembly.

It would have been nice if it was the same, so one could bypass the module, as a test.

Yep that is the 480 we were discussing and linking too above(only from another vendor). Mine should be in tomorrow or Monday and I will share what I find.

The module is probably just a MosFET and the "relay control signal" is PWM. So, bypassing the module, fan directly to the control wire probably would not work. Running 12V and ground to the fan should work.
If it is a MosFET, that explains how they fail. They are very sensitive to things like reverse voltage and stray static. Plus they can get very hot without proper heat sinking.

Here is the eBay one vs original one. The eBay one is a little bit smaller on plastic around connector. See picture. I am going to see if this will work tonight some how and report back. I think I can get it to work if I move the green seal from old to overlap the red seal on new one.
