I need a new site for these drawings, this one has become very difficult.
The description is confusing.
First p/n says two required
Second p/n say four required.
Very strange.

Don,
I have a wife and kids that do this consistently. It's part of the deal.

Listening - or in this case, reading, could save you time and later questions...

I work with techs in the field and I HAVE TO listen to them and ask questions to figure out what's happening out there. The answers are out there!

UPDATE----- So I had a buddy swap out the knock sensor behind the starter. From what I read, #1 is at the front (by the alternator) and #2 is near the starter. I was going to do it in my garage while on ramps but could not figure out how to reach it w/o getting the starter out of the way. Even on a lift, he could not get to it w/o removing the starter so that's what he did. Drove it on a 3 hour trip after replacement, and it ran like a DREAM!!! Smooth and quick acceleration, no more boost spiking, etc.
BUT----- I make the roadtrip and am ready to head home. Pull out of the driveway and my clutch pedal sticks to the floor and won't disengage the gear!!! Had it happen 4 years ago and it was the slave/throw-out bearing. So today I'm making a road trip w/ a buddy and a car trailer to bring it back. Getting tired of things failing. That's what you get with an 11 year old car I guess.

Great to see you got the boost problem fixed!

Check the spring on the clutch pedal.
