Only other thing I can think of that you should keep an eye out for is the half shafts. I know some have said the half shafts don't like the angles of a severe drop. I'm sure you know that already though, but just throwing it out there for good measure.

Ive read about this happening with cobalts, probably the same with HHRs. If you lower a 5spd SS I would seriously consider rotated engine mounts and steering rack spacers from Powell.
Our cars were originally engineered for autotrans only. When they fit the manual, the driveshafts arent lined up straight with the wheels, which means more wheel hop and less power transmitted. Lowering makes it worse. Rotated mounts and rack spacers line everything up.

im getting the trans mount put on at the CED meet by Mr. Powell himself and the rack spacers dont fit i already tried

You need rotated mounts for the rack spacers to fit.
