The Moog and AC Delco in the daily driver section are interesting because the ball joints are bolted in. I only remember seeing riveted ones before so maybe these are very low production with the proper ball joint?

Just remember. Those pictures are usually stock file pictures that may not represent the actual item listed/shown.

They are WRONG. Maybe correct for pre-2008 COBALT FE5, IDK.

See what happens when people assume RPO codes mean the exact same thing across years and models? (They don't.)

Easy now, I have already confirmed that the GM LCA’s are obsolete
I have confirmed a replacement bolt in ball joint from OTTP

Okay. Thanks everyone. It definitely needs the rear bushings. I'll likely do all of them and ball joints. Will buy the piece individually do be sure I get the right HHR/FE5 components. Hopefully I can make time to get it done before the snow flys around here.

Just to confirm you are ordering the OTTP ball joints

And Moog K201285 rear bushings.

OTP has spherical replacements for the Moog K201285: https://www.overthetopperformance.co...ings_p_76.html

and delrin front control arm bushings: https://www.overthetopperformance.co...ings_p_77.html

Are either of those worth considering also?

The spherical, sure, if you have money to burn. Even at their current 50% off, they're still 3x the price.

The front bushings are under very little stress, and probably don't need replacement.

Maybe if you're autocrossing, you can justify the extra expense. But not for the vast majority of HHR owners. Our local corvette club allows HHR to autocross, but the Porshe club will not.

Asked my trusted garage to put in parts I had sources, KYB loaded struts and, while they had it apart, the fancy bushings in my 90k miles 2011 LS. Got it back and they said it didn't need the bushings so they didn't install them. Grrr.

Those bushings are pricey but the cost is trivial compared to R&R labor. Have heard too many stories about the rubber bushings failing quickly. Is there a "best" brand to buy? OEM?

I wonder if SCCA allows HHR to AutoX.

The moog that Oldblue linked to are good. They look very similar to the spherical at OTTP.
