Getting a new Turbo
52K miles, they just replaced my turbo too. Bucking, jumping, surging, dumping. Put me in a loaner car for close to 6 weeks. I did not mind as I had a few trips for work and ended up putting 6K miles on a loaner car.
All is good now with the new turbo installed

All turbo issues are under warranty, unless racing or modification of the 'puter are done.
probably was just the waste gate or BOV, but they just swap it out. They replaced one of my turbos with your same issues, even when they knew the issue was just the BOV....was too hard to get a BOV separate at the time. I also had the bearings of a turbo go at 9K.
Don't let the turbo issues deter you.....I love my SS. These turbos are used in many cars.

Boy, I don't know. I have said that if I had to do it again I'd get the SS over the 2LT and was thinking of trading in my 2LT for an SS with lower milage when it is paid off but there seems to be alot of issues with the turbo.
As usual in stuff like this, you only hear about when people have problems. This always falls into the category of no news is good news. There are quite a few of us that have the SS and I have only seen a few people report a problem.
