i agree with the no water. especially since you overheated. do you have AAA. have it towed and save your self from having something bad happen

Well,
I have not taken in in yet I am in the military and the car sits while I go out and have fun for 3 weeks. I did go and buy the correct Dexcool to add to the system it was about a 1/4 gal low in the radiator. When I looked prior to filling it the the next day in the light the overflow was not dry and had add a couple of inches in it. After filling the radiator in accordance with the owners manual and letting it run for about 20 mins and letting it cool there was no coolant loss and the heater worked fine. I then drove it about 60 miles round trip and had no overheating issues or high temps whatsoever.

I plan on having the car checked out anyways with a pressure check when I get back from deployment and having the brake fix accomplished followed by the stage 1 upgrade. Wish me luck
Matt

.... Or you got a car with a faulty head gasket installed. Believe it or not it happens. Its rare but take a look at your oil dip stick.... if its frothy and smells like burnt babies... go yell at GM for a while....

I have had a similar thing happen. One day plenty of heat, next day no heat. Expansion tank about 6 inches from top, topped off but no heat at all. No leak in coolant system, why did this happen so quickly. Being an '08 with 50k I can't believe the heater core is plugged. Any ideas?
