HHR SS CODE p0100and p0113

I just installed a K&N intake system on my 2008 HHR SS with 82,500 miles. It went in good with no problems. Went by the directions that K&N sent with kit. Disconected the battery and all. Started it up and the check engine light came on. Got the codes p0100 and p0113. What or were do I go from here in fixing these codes? I have been trying to find it in the forums but havent seen it in here. Thanksfor your help!!!

These are both related to the MAF sensor. We've seen this many times here, as well as on the cobalt forums, the oiled filter causes problems. You need to get some MAF sensor cleaner and clean the MAF sensor. Use no other product or the MAF sensor could be ruined. You need to consider going back to a dry filter.

Also make sure the MAF sensor connector is plugged in.

Yep oil on the MAF, read the probable causes, dirty MAF in this case is the excess oil on your new K&N filter

https://www.obd-codes.com/p0100

And the IAC could be dirty and oiled down or that loose connection at the MAF

After cleaning the MAF, I'd suggest cleaning and litely oiling the air filter again, that's what I ended up doing.

Please let us know what fixes your issue
