Good luck with that. Finding proprietary pcb diagrams is a challenge.

Well, if you start off assuming you can't do it, you'll never succeed. Given it's already broken there is no penalty for failure so why not try?

Other than taking a chance on toasting the engine in the meantime.

Well, I wasn't planning on trying to fix it till I had the replacement. Takes 3 days to get one, to long to be without it.

Well, the new module arrived and is in and working. Sure helps to have skinny hands here also. Getting the mounting screw back in took a few tries.

Now we'll see if the problem is gone. With the old module the radiator fan worked till you stopped for a short time and something heat soaked.

Bad news is the module has no screws so taking it apart to see if the problem is fixable will not be as easy as hoped. Ah well, that's why they make mills.

Unless it turned out not to be the module. So now it would be ECM or Fan I guess, anything else it could be?

Not the thermostat, it was just replaced, and the DIC shows the temp so I assume the sensor is OK.

Always fine when you start cold for as long as you drive, only doesn't work if you shut it off and then start it again while it's still hot.

It's the fan! Oh well. The hardest part to replace!
