Just wanted to see if anyone else is being hung out to dry...

about 6 weeks ago, my 08 SS had boost issues, the CEL came on and i took it to the dealership (still under warranty). they replaced the MAF and told me about the wastegate actuator, but that no one has stock of the part, not even GM.

Fast forward to now, spoke with GM and they say that it's on their priority list to take care of it, that they don't have any of those parts in stock, and that they don't know when they will have more. They are waiting on their supplier.

Anyone else in this situation? any advice on how to get it resolved? or perhaps a workaround to get me my boost back? The SS is a dog with no boost.

Get GM customer service involved. Have them create a case number for you. They wound up sending an entire turbo assembly for my car just to get the acctuator. When they asked me what I wanted for compensation, I held out until they gave me an extended bumper to bumper warranty.

 

I had the valve go bad on my turbo. after over a week of waiting, I had them pull the part off of a solstice GXP on the lot.

 

Thanks for the suggestions - i have a scheduled call back from them this coming monday. I will see what they have to say and use these suggestions to get it handled.
